About Bryant Park

Bryant Park, found in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, is a 9.6-acre public park that is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Nestled between avenues Fifth and Sixth, just outside the iconic Times Square, the privately-owned park offers a quiet escape from all the hustle and bustle in the city. The original park, named Reservoir Square, was established in 1847 but tragically burned down a few years later, in 1858. When it was reopened in 1884, the park was renamed Bryant Park after the journalist William Cullen Bryant.
