All about Broadway luggage storage

Whether you’re seeing legendary hits like Hamilton or venturing off-Broadway, seeing a Broadway show in New York’s Theater District is an essential experience you won’t want to skip. Even if it’s your first time in the Big Apple and have plenty to pack in, at least walking through the stretch of Broadway to catch a glimpse of the many majestic venues is worthwhile. Broadway is one of New York’s biggest attractions, with dozens of historic theaters that are revered institutions for fans of the arts and theater lovers, with Broadway Theatre, the Apollo, and the Majestic being a few of the most famous.

It’s not just plays and musicals bringing visitors to this stretch of Midtown Manhattan, either. Radio City Music Hall, the Museum of Modern Art, and Madame Tussauds New York are among other key attractions. These are all within a short walk from Broadway. Even Times Square is a hop and a skip away and is a common stop on the way to the show. Fortunately, New York’s dining scene is strong in every corner of the city. So you’ll be able to put together a nice evening without having to venture too far for an epic pre-show meal

Traveling into Manhattan to get to your Broadway shows in time can be stressful, and bringing bags or heavy luggage into venues can be tricky. If you need luggage storage near Broadway, Bounce is a stress-free way to keep the bags safe while you enjoy the show!

Getting to Broadway and the Theater District

Broadway and the Theater District are generally considered to be within the boundaries of West 40th Street on the south, West 54th Street on the north, Sixth Avenue on the east and Eighth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and are easily reached via public transit. While driving is hardly the most convenient way to get to Manhattan, there is actually ample parking near Broadway to accommodate theatergoers.

Taxi and rideshare

New York City is one of the last places where it is easier to get a cab than it is to call a rideshare, and taxis will be lined up on Broadway waiting for shows to get out. These can get pricey if you’re heading to or from Lower Manhattan or the Upper West or East Sides, but it’s generally an easy way to get around.

Walking to the Theater District

If you’re heading to the show from Times Square or other nearby hotspots, walking can be quicker than a cab due to the famously congested Manhattan traffic.

Getting to Broadway from NYC train stations

NYC’s train stations are clustered around Midtown Manhattan and are easy to get to Broadway from. Just keep an eye on the clock if you’re trying to catch a late train out of the city after the show.
