Castle Rotondo

Built in the year 1508 to defend the Dalmatian coastline against the Ottomans, the town has essentially sprung up around this castle, with the historic parts of Kaštel Štafilić essentially clustered around its walls. The Tvrđava Nehaj fortress was built by the Croatian army on the hill overlooking Kaštel Štafilić to protect it from Ottoman incursions into the Balkans.
