  • This Bounce, Kipps Food & Wine, is perfectly located near the Covent Garden stop of the Piccadilly line heading toward Heathrow. I was able to drop my luggage off around 11:00am, pick them up after a Sunday matinee, and hop into the Tube. Simple, efficient, no-nonsense. I highly recommend it.

  • Dropped my bags off at Kipps, a lovely little off-license shop. The person who took my stuff was cheery and everything went off without a hitch. A few hours later I returned for my bags and had another great experience. Really appreciate Kipps!

  • The experience was great ONCE I located the store. There was literally no sign anywhere that the store was also doubling as a bounce luggage store. Good: App booking experience Can improve: helping locate the store doubling as a Bounce storage location.

  • Skeptical at first as we had never used this service and the drop off location didn't look like it could handle two large bike boxes. Everything went flawless. The staff were very friendly and offered advice for restaurants and sightseeing. Couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Bounce and All Good Convenience Store for short term storage. 👍👍

  • The storage was ok. We had to take a picture of our luggage which was weird since at other Bounce locations this didn't happen (we usually received numered tags for our luggage). We picked up our luggage and everything was in order.

  • Staff was fine and it turned out ok, but the process didn't give me the most secure feeling. No tag on the bag, no claims ticket - I was told to take a picture of the bag, then showed the picture when picking up.

Bag storage near Holborn Station when lockers aren't available

Recommended for: international tourists visiting central london, hotel checkout travelers, business visitors to midtown.

Holborn Underground Station connects the Central and Piccadilly lines, putting visitors within walking distance of the British Museum, Covent Garden, and the legal district around Chancery Lane. The station itself does not have lockers or left luggage facilities, which catches many travelers off guard. Fortunately, bag storage options exist just minutes away on foot. Holborn Station Great Queen Street is open 24/7 and sits roughly three minutes from the station exits. It's a popular choice for people checking out of nearby hotels before their onward train or flight. With over 900 reviews and a rating near 4.75, travelers consistently trust this spot. Prices start from £1.95, and bookings come with £10,000 protection. The Piccadilly line runs direct to Heathrow, so dropping bags here before a last museum visit or West End show makes the final stretch to the airport much easier.

Where to leave luggage before visiting the British Museum

Recommended for: museum day visitors, families with children, travelers between hotel stays.

The British Museum refuses wheeled suitcases of any size and limits other bags to 40cm x 40cm x 50cm and under 8kg. Anyone arriving with larger luggage needs to sort storage before reaching the entrance. The museum's own cloakroom cannot accept full size suitcases either. Bloomsbury and the streets around Great Russell Street have several bag storage spots within a short walk. Bounce has handled thousands of bags in the Holborn area, with one location on Great Queen Street operating around the clock. That means early arrivals can drop bags before the museum opens and late pickups are possible after evening plans. For families juggling pushchairs and backpacks, sorting storage first means no awkward moments at security. The British Museum is free to enter, so spending a few pounds on secure storage nearby keeps the visit relaxed and luggage out of mind.

Left luggage options around Covent Garden and the West End

Recommended for: theatre attendees, shoppers in the west end, evening visitors to soho.

Covent Garden sits at the heart of London's theatre district, surrounded by restaurants, shops, and performance venues. Most West End theatres discourage large bags, and carrying luggage through the narrow streets and crowded piazzas isn't practical. Charing Cross Station has a left luggage office, though queues there can be long during peak times. A quicker alternative is using local storage partners dotted around the area. Bounce locations near Holborn and Covent Garden accept bags of all sizes, from cabin bags to large suitcases. Late pickup hours suit anyone catching an evening show or grabbing dinner afterwards. The Holborn Station Great Queen Street spot stays open 24/7, which works well for post theatre collection. With 4.9 app ratings and thousands of customers served, travelers heading to a matinee or late night performance can explore hands free and pick up bags whenever suits.
