  • This Bounce, Kipps Food & Wine, is perfectly located near the Covent Garden stop of the Piccadilly line heading toward Heathrow. I was able to drop my luggage off around 11:00am, pick them up after a Sunday matinee, and hop into the Tube. Simple, efficient, no-nonsense. I highly recommend it.

  • I visited to drop off my luggage as I had a schedule at the National Gallery after checking out. They even let me take a photo of my suitcase (self-service) and gave me a receipt; they handled everything meticulously. It was also great that there was a supermarket on-site, so I could buy things I needed.

  • Unfortunately, the gentleman in the morning was very uncommunicative, but at the pickup, the gentlemen were extremely nice and smiling. No codes were scanned; I only took photos of my luggage and showed them at pickup. No confirmation, but fortunately, the luggage was returned to us intact. Very fast service.

  • Dropping off and picking up your order was easy. The afternoon staff were friendly. However, be sure to enter the exact address you received by email, because if you type the store name, it doesn't appear on Google Maps yet. It probably just opened. The price is reasonable. It's cheaper than at train stations.

Bag storage near the National Gallery for visitors with suitcases

Recommended for: international tourists, day trippers from other uk cities, visitors between hotel checkout and trains.

The National Gallery on Trafalgar Square doesn't allow wheeled luggage inside. That includes cabin bags and suitcases of any size. The maximum bag dimensions permitted are 56 × 25 × 45 cm, so anyone traveling with larger items needs to sort storage before walking through those doors. The Bounce location at Orange Street & Irving Street sits just minutes from the Gallery entrance. Open on Sundays too, which helps when most of central London feels shut. With over 1,400 reviews from travelers who've used this spot, it's become a reliable option for visitors who need somewhere to leave bags before spending a few hours with Van Gogh and Turner. Prices start from £1.95, and each booking includes £10,000 protection. Drop off in the morning, wander through the galleries, grab lunch in Covent Garden, then pick up before catching a train from Charing Cross.

Left luggage options for rail travelers near Charing Cross

Recommended for: rail travelers arriving at charing cross, business visitors with meetings in whitehall.

Charing Cross station sits right next to Trafalgar Square, making it the obvious arrival point for anyone visiting the National Gallery by train. The station does have its own left luggage facility run by a third party, but it closes at 23:00 and pricing can add up quickly for longer storage windows. Visitors coming from Kent or the south coast often arrive mid morning and want to squeeze in museum time before an evening departure. The walk from the station concourse to the Gallery takes under five minutes. Bounce has a spot nearby on Orange Street & Irving Street that works well for travelers who need flexibility. It's a quick detour before heading to the museum, and pickup can happen later in the day without rushing. Central London can feel overwhelming with bags in tow. Leaving luggage somewhere secure makes the whole experience much easier.

Luggage lockers and storage for West End theatre visitors

Recommended for: theatre goers with afternoon shows, visitors combining museums with evening entertainment, shoppers heading to covent garden.

Plenty of people combine a visit to the National Gallery with a show in the West End. Leicester Square and the theatre district are a short walk north from Trafalgar Square, so it makes sense to do both in one day. The problem is that most theatres have strict bag policies too, and nobody wants to sit through a three hour musical with a suitcase wedged under their seat. The Orange Street & Irving Street location works for visitors doing the museum to theatre route. It's positioned between Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square, so the walk either direction takes just a few minutes. Travelers who've used Bounce give it a 4.9 rating on average. For anyone checking out of a hotel in the morning and catching a late train after a show, this kind of setup removes a lot of hassle from the day.
