  • So thankful that something like Bounce exists, it was so relieving to drop off our bags and not have to worry about them throughout the day! We had a full day between our bus drop off and our flight out of Chicago, and dropping off our luggage meant we could visit all our friends and old favorite places around the city and use transit so much more comfortably. HI Chicago hostel was a phenomenal location, so accessible from any of the loop trains and so easy to get to. Check in and out process was smooth, clear, and efficient and the staff were all so kind. Thank you!

  • The staff was nice and the bags were hidden but they didn’t check us out after we picked it up. I happened to check my email and saw Bounce’s email asking if I had, so if I hadn’t seen an email about it, we would’ve been charged extra. That is concerning but it might’ve been a mistake. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy.

Luggage storage near the Art Institute of Chicago for museum visitors

Recommended for: tourists, locals, event attendees.

You've got bags, but you want to see the Impressionists? Totally get it. The Art Institute sits right on Michigan Avenue, and those galleries can take hours to explore properly. Dragging a suitcase through the Thorne Miniature Rooms or past Sunday on La Grande Jatte? Not ideal. There's a Bounce location near The Art Institute of Chicago where you can drop your stuff before heading in. Bounce has already handled over 600 bags in this area, so folks clearly find it useful. The museum connects directly to Millennium Park through the Modern Wing, so after you finish the galleries, you can walk right over to Cloud Gate without doubling back. Storage starts from $2.25, and each booking includes $10,000 protection for your belongings. Quick tip: enter through the Monroe Street side for shorter lines. Leave your bags somewhere safe and actually enjoy the art.

Where to store bags when exploring Millennium Park and downtown Chicago

Recommended for: event attendees, tourists.

Millennium Park hosts over 500 free events each year. Concerts at Pritzker Pavilion, film screenings on the Great Lawn, and festivals throughout the summer. Carrying a backpack or rolling bag through those crowds? That's no fun. The park sits directly north of the Art Institute, and the whole area gets packed during events like the Blues Festival or Jazz Festival. A smart move is to stash your stuff beforehand. The Bounce spot near The Art Institute of Chicago has a 4.7 rating from 55+ reviews, so people trust it. You can walk from there to the Bean in about five minutes. The L train stops at Adams/Wabash, and Monroe is close by if you're coming from Union Station or O'Hare. Grab a blanket, leave your luggage behind, and actually enjoy the music without worrying about your stuff getting kicked around on the lawn.

Suitcase storage options for business travelers in the Loop

Recommended for: business travelers, commuters, digital nomads.

Early flight into O'Hare, but your hotel check-in isn't until 3 pm? Or maybe you've got meetings downtown and checkout was at 11 am? The Loop is full of conference centers and offices, but not many places to leave a carry-on for a few hours. Bounce locations around the Art Institute area work well for this. The spot near The Art Institute of Chicago has handled 270+ reservations from people in similar situations. It's walkable from the main transit hubs. Union Station and Ogilvie are both about 15 minutes on foot, and the Blue Line brings you straight from the airport. Over 2,000,000 customers have used Bounce worldwide, so the system works. Drop your bags, take your meetings, grab lunch on Michigan Avenue, then pick everything up before heading to your hotel. Simple. No need to drag luggage into a conference room.
