The wine bar was closed when we booked but rang a number on the door and they promptly let us in. Everything was safe but the luggage is left out in view of passing bar customers, so for precious items, it may not be forever everyone.

From the Santa Maria Novella bus stop, you cross the street and go straight down a ramp to the right floor. Walk past the fountain, and the shop is a few meters further on the right.
