Why use ExCeL London luggage storage?

Being one of the globe’s financial and commercial capitals, London sees its fair share of business travelers. So it makes sense that one of the world’s largest convention centers is situated just outside the city center. ExCeL London (or Exhibition Centre London) is a sprawling complex that includes one of the UK's largest convention centers located at the Royal Victoria Dock in East London.

It combines extensive facilities for exhibitions and events with its beautiful waterfront to provide an appealing space for everything from ComicCon to the London Boat Show. With massive showrooms and impressive amenities for business travelers, ExCeL provides an unrivaled setting for corporate events. As one of the premier convention centers in the world, ExCeL isn’t content with a few hot dog stands and a typical food court. There are legitimately excellent restaurants reflecting London’s culinary acumen.

If you're traveling to London for a convention or trade show, you may need to find a place to store work gear or luggage. That's why the Bounce luggage storage network emphasizes serving ExCeL London with reliable locations and cutting-edge features specifically useful for business travelers.

Getting to ExCeL London

This massive complex is situated on the northern side of the Royal Victoria Dock in London Docklands between the Canary Wharf and London City Airport. It’s connected to the rest of London by Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and National Rail Services lines serving Custom House Station along with the Elizabeth Line. While driving isn't particularly efficient for getting to ExCeL, there is a massive car park and motorcycle parking onsite.

Getting to ExCeL London by train

ExCeL’s western entrance can be accessed by the Custom House Station for DLR Trains, while ExCeL Station at the main event halls (right by the glass pyramid) is connected to the Elizabeth Line. These will connect you to major London rail stations with long-distance routes to destinations throughout the UK and Europe.

Taking the Tube to ExCeL London

The nearby Canning Town Underground Station is situated on the Jubilee Line Extension of the Tube network, allowing you to reach central London and transfer to other Tube lines.

You can take a cable car from ExCeL London to downtown

While this isn’t the most useful transit method there is a cable car running from the convention center to offer tours of downtown London. It’s a great way to catch bird’s eye views of top attractions when you have downtime between meetings or exhibitions.

Getting to ExCeL London from Lonon airports

  • London City Airport: ExCeL London is actually located next to London City Airport, and they share a DLR station. It should be noted that this airport is seldom used for non-executive or private air travel.
  • Heathrow Airport: You can get to the convention center in just under an hour via the Elizabeth Line.
  • Gatwick Airport: It takes 60 Minutes via the Thameslink and Elizabeth Lines (transfer at Bedford) to reach ExCeL London.

If you’re headed to London for a trade show or event at ExCeL, you’ll be able to rely on Bounce for secure and efficient luggage storage. And if you want to explore the rest of the city, you can access hundreds of Bounce locations near top attractions and transit facilities!
