World Pride 2025
History, pride, and culture collide in the heart of Washington. Welcome to the most anticipated LGBTQ+ celebration on the planet!
WorldPride is a major international LGBTQIA+ event that promotes visibility, equality, and awareness through parades, festivals, and cultural activities.
The event came onto the global stage in 2000 in Rome, right in the heart of the Vatican’s backyard. Since then, it’s become a traveling global phenomenon. It lit up cities like Toronto, Madrid, and New York City with massive pride parades, human rights forums, and cultural presentations.
Washington, DC, and the National Capital Region organize pride celebrations year-round. So, the Capital Pride Alliance, the official host of WorldPride 2025, was thrilled to announce one momentous and exciting milestone for Washington. 2025 is the year when the 50th anniversary of Pride will take over this city from May 17 to June 8.
