The festival began in the early 1970s to revitalize Inman Park, which had fallen on hard times. It was established to highlight Inman Park’s history, architectural beauty, and lively community spirit. Over the years, it has evolved into one of Atlanta’s largest and most beloved neighborhood festivals.

Inman Park is also home to some of the most beautiful houses, ranging from Victorian mansions to modern renovations. As a part of the festival, visitors have a chance to take a self-guided Tour of Homes from April 25 to 27. On this occasion, homeowners open their doors to the public, showing their lovely residences. This way, everyone can take a glimpse of Inman Park’s evolution from a once-declining area to one of Atlanta’s most desirable neighborhoods.

What to Expect When Attending the Inman Park Festival 2025

Here are the festival highlights:

• Parade: The 53rd Inman Park Festival Parade will take place on Saturday, April 26, at 2 PM. Known for its quirky and colorful participants, the parade features marching bands, floats, art cars, and more. ​The route begins at Edgewood Avenue and Euclid Avenue, goes via Hurt Street, then through Freedom Park, and finishes at Euclid Ave. and Austin Avenue.
• Arts and crafts market: Browse a juried selection of over 75 artists presenting works in different media, including sculpture, painting, and photography. The market operates from 11 AM to 6 PM.
• Street market: Explore over 250 booths offering antiques, handcrafted wares, clothing, and other items. It's open from 11 AM to 6 PM on both days.
• Music and dance: Enjoy live performances on three stages, featuring an extensive array of musical genres. Check the music lineup to get familiar with performers! The Dance Festival awaits you at the Trolley Barn, where the talented Georgia dancers will perform.
• Kids' Zone: The Little Gnomes Zone in Springvale Park provides free activities for children, including slides, obstacle courses, crafts, and entertainment like aerial acrobats and the Reptile Wrangler. ​
• Food and beverages: The festival hosts numerous food vendors offering options from pizza and barbecue to gyros and funnel cakes. Inman Park also boasts a rich culinary scene with many local restaurants.

• MARTA rail: Take the Blue or Green Line to Inman Park/Reynoldstown Station and exit on the Inman Park side (not Reynoldstown). Then, walk 5-10 minutes to the festival area.
• MARTA bus: Several bus routes stop near Inman Park, including Routes 6, 102, and 816. Check the MARTA website for real-time schedules.
• Car: If you drive, be aware of street closures, heavy traffic, and limited parking. You can park at a MARTA station, such as Edgewood-Candler Park or Midtown, and take the train to Inman Park/Reynoldstown Station.
• Bike: Cycling to the festival is a fantastic option, especially via the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, which provides a nice and direct route to Inman Park. Bike racks are available near festival entrances but can fill up quickly, so be there earlier.
