The Santa Fe College Spring Arts Festival is one of Gainesville’s most beloved cultural events, which brings together over 150 talented artists who share their work with art lovers.

This is one of North Florida's longest-running arts festivals, first held in 1970. Originally created to support and highlight local artists, it has become a major cultural tradition over the decades. Each year, it attracts thousands of visitors.

Now in its 53rd year, the event continues to be a sparkling celebration of creativity and community. The venue is at the Santa Fe College Northwest Campus, right by the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall and Library. Be there on April 12 and 13 for a guaranteed wonderful experience!

You’ll be immersed in a lively atmosphere filled with art, music, interactive activities, and delicious food.

The festival brings together over 150 talented community artists, juried artists, and student artists who present their works, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, jewelry, mixed media, glasswork, and textiles.

Throughout the weekend, you'll enjoy a lineup of local musicians, bands, and performers covering different genres, from folk and jazz to contemporary hits. Performances will take place at Rock Cycle Garden Stage and Fine Arts Hall Stage.

The festival offers engaging, hands-on activities that are perfect for families and curious minds:

  • Science Zone – Explore the wonders of science with exciting hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and activities designed to spark curiosity.
  • Physical Play Zone – A fun space for kids to jump, run, and engage in movement-based activities.

One of the festival’s highlights, the Teaching Zoo, lets visitors get up close with fascinating animals while learning from student zookeepers. A must-visit for families and wildlife enthusiasts!
