This Light Boat Parade has been a Jacksonville holiday tradition for over 30 years. It takes place on Thanksgiving weekend and brings boats with jolly decorations that float along the north and south banks of the St. Johns River, Jacksonville, Florida.

Residents and visitors gather downtown the North and Southbank Riverwalks to watch this shiny spectacle.

The route starts at the Ford on Bay, near the Naval Museum on the Northbank, and then goes west under the Main Street and Acosta Bridge, returning east along the Southbank of St. Johns River.

The parade will begin at 6 pm on November 30.

Downtown Jacksonville will be crowded! This magical event attracts many people who want to witness its beauty.

Expect to see participants in their boats of all shapes and sizes decorated with beautiful lights and ornaments. The judges will rate the boats based on their decorations and choose the winners in three categories - Best Overall Theme, Most Creative Lighting, and Most Holiday Spirit.

The evening concludes with a beautiful fireworks show that you can expect at 8 pm. It lasts around 15 minutes and is followed by music. An extraordinary festive celebration!
