Poteet Strawberry Festival 2025

If life is like a bowl of strawberries, then the Poteet Strawberry Festival is the biggest, juiciest scoop. Three days of fruity fun, toe-tapping tunes, and Texas-sized traditions!

The Poteet Strawberry Festival is one of Texas' most beloved and longest-running festivals. It celebrates the local strawberry harvest with a mix of food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

This strawberryish festival was established in 1948 as a way to celebrate the town's agricultural success and promote its strawberry industry. Poteet, Texas, was known for producing some of the sweetest strawberries in the state, thanks to its fertile soil and favorable climate. After World War II, local farmers and community leaders sought a way to boost the local economy and highlight their thriving strawberry harvest. The Poteet Rotary Club took the initiative to organize the first festival, which started as a small-town event but quickly gained popularity.

Today, the festival is a springtime tradition managed by the Poteet Strawberry Festival Association. It brings together families, farmers, and entertainers for a weekend of fun and community spirit.

Come to Poteet to create magical memories from April 11 to 13!

What to Expect When Attending the Poteet Strawberry Festival 2025

Here's what awaits you in Poteet:

Fresh Poteet strawberries straight from local farms! You'll savor different strawberry-themed treats like strawberry shortcakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry lemonade, and even strawberry wine.

Multiple stages will feature Tejano, country, and rock music with local and national acts. You'll also enjoy Mariachi and folkloric performances presenting Texan and Mexican cultural influences.

A full carnival with rides, games, and family attractions will be there. You'll find a Ferris wheel, roller coasters, and classic carnival games with prizes.

On Saturday, the Poteet Strawberry Festival's Parade, featuring decorated floats, marching bands, and horse riders, will make its way from the corner of FM 1470 and School Drive to Horton Lane.

Bring extra cash for delicious food, drinks, and souvenirs. Vendors will offer BBQ, Tex-Mex, turkey legs, funnel cakes, and more. When you get thirsty, you can buy craft beers and local wines, including strawberry-infused drinks. Also, expect different handmade crafts, souvenirs, and strawberry-themed products.
