If you are looking for souvenirs or necessities like water or a newspaper, there are about 30 retailers, from Amcal Pharmacy to the World of Chocolate.

In the Australian Bush section, see the native animals like kangaroos, wombats, and koalas. Then head over to the Lion Gorge to visit the lions, tigers, and leopards. The Trail of the Elephants has more than just elephants; they have monkeys, orangutans, and the Butterfly House. The Gorilla Rainforest has hippos and lemurs, as well as monkeys and gorillas. They even have animatronic dinosaurs at the Zoo and animal talks all day long. Relax at one of the seven eateries for a bite. Don’t forget to stop at one of the gift shops for some souvenirs.

This section also has exhibits like Exploring Our Seas, Dinosaur Walk, and Bugs Alive. Other exhibits include the Melbourne Gallery, the Mind and Body Gallery, Touring Hall, the Pasifika Gallery, Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Center, and the Forest Gallery. They also have the largest IMAX theater screen in the world where you can see movies and documentaries. Make sure you stop in and get some souvenirs at the gift shop before you go. Visit the bushland in Yarra Bend Park for a more personal view of the flora and fauna of Melbourne. It is just a short drive from the airport on Yarra Bend Road. This is the biggest natural bushland park in Melbourne and has miles of trails to visit, as well as a boathouse and picnic areas. Explore the Dights Falls Walk to see the amazing and beautiful Dights Falls near what used to be an asylum. Rent a boat for a trip down the river, play a round of golf at their golf course, or get a selfie in front of the Ceres Flour Mill, built in the 1840s. Don’t miss the Flying Fox Walking Trail, where you are almost guaranteed to see at least one of these furry flyers.
