  • It seems these reviews are talking about two different places. I went to both so I will clear it up. First, there is the lockers in the station. A small locker is €2 per 24 hours and is pretty spacious. It’s cheap, but CASH ONLY. You can get to it by going into the station and following the signs for the locker storage. It’s near the chocolate store and past the toilets. Second, there is a locker storage inside of the Jo&Joe hostel. You can get to it by going to the elevators to the left of the IKEA entrance and taking the elevator up to the 5th floor. The lockers here are spacious too and it’s €1 per hour for small locker. More expensive, but CARD IS ACCEPTED. In conclusion, if you have cash, use the lockers at the station. If no cash, use the lockers at Jo&Joe near the IKEA. Furthermore the times on Google Maps are incorrect. Both lockers were open and available at 1pm on a Saturday even though Google Maps said it would be closed.

Luggage lockers and left luggage near Wien Westbahnhof for rail travelers

Recommended for: rail travelers arriving at westbahnhof, day trippers with stopovers, tourists heading to mariahilfer straße.

Stepping off a train at Wien Westbahnhof with a heavy suitcase? The station sits right at the western end of Mariahilfer Straße, Vienna's longest shopping street. From here, the entire pedestrian zone stretches about 1.8 kilometers toward MuseumsQuartier. Dragging luggage along that route isn't fun. Bounce has bag storage options in this area, including the Westbahnhof location with a 4.76 rating from 440+ reviews. It's a short walk from the platforms. Travelers can drop bags and head straight into the BahnhofCity shopping complex or wander down Mahü to explore. Pricing starts from €3.25, and every booking includes €10,000 protection. The U3 and U6 lines connect here, so getting around Vienna afterward is simple. Whether it's a quick stopover before another train or a full day of exploring, having free hands makes everything easier.

Bag storage on Mariahilfer Straße for shopping days

Recommended for: shoppers on mariahilfer straße, visitors exploring the neubaugasse area, anyone needing hands free retail time.

Mariahilfer Straße, or Mahü as locals call it, runs through Vienna's 6th and 7th districts. Big names like H&M, Zara, and Foot Locker line the street alongside the historic Gerngross department store. The pedestrian zone stretches on and on. After a few shops, bags start piling up. Side streets like Neubaugasse and Kirchengasse hide smaller boutiques and cozy cafés worth ducking into. Carrying shopping bags into those spots gets awkward fast. Bounce operates across Vienna with over 340 locations citywide. The network means there's usually somewhere nearby to leave bags while continuing to browse. Rated 4.9 on the app, travelers trust it for quick drop offs. The U3 runs beneath the street with stops at Neubaugasse and Zieglergasse, so picking up bags later fits naturally into any route.

Left luggage near MuseumsQuartier for museum visitors and families

Recommended for: tourists visiting museumsquartier, families with kids, event attendees near volkstheater.

MuseumsQuartier sits at the eastern end of Mariahilfer Straße, close to the Volkstheater U3 station. The complex covers around 90,000 square meters and holds the Leopold Museum, mumok, and the ZOOM Kindermuseum for children. Courtyards stay open around the clock with free entry. Families often arrive with strollers, extra bags, and kid gear. Lugging all that through museum halls? Not ideal. Bounce has handled thousands of bags throughout Vienna. With 440+ local reviews in the Mariahilfer Street area alone, travelers rely on nearby storage spots before spending a full day inside the cultural campus. The iconic Enzi furniture in the courtyards invites lingering. Afternoons blend into evenings here. Having bags stored somewhere secure means enjoying the space without constantly watching belongings.
