  • Very friendly people who accepted an extra piece of luggage free of charge (so my daughter wouldn't have to carry her backpack). Thank you ☺️

  • The entrance is a bit confusing because it's unsignaled; we only speak Spanish and were able to communicate well with the gentleman.

  • They were apparently setting up their tent, but they were very friendly and collected our luggage promptly. The service was offered to us by Numa's apartment, where we were staying.

  • Mostly good - but when we first arrived the proprietor was not able to accept the QR code as proof of pre-payment and, instead, wanted to see an email which we did not have. Apparently his son had the QR reader? This was confusing for us but did get resolved.

  • Used Bounce to store my bag at a shop until I could check in at my logging. The booking was easy & the service was great. The only issue was that on the map, the location seemed to be really close to where I was (Amsterdam Central Station) but in reality, it took me about 20 minutes to walk there. All in all, I had a good experience & would use the service in the future.

Bag storage near ARTIS Zoo for families visiting the Plantage

Recommended for: families with children, international leisure tourists, day trippers from nearby dutch cities.

The Plantage neighborhood sits just east of Amsterdam's city centre, with ARTIS Zoo at its heart. Families heading to the zoo often arrive with strollers, extra bags, and all the gear that comes with a day out with kids. Lugging that stuff through the tram ride from Centraal, then around the zoo grounds? Not ideal. Bounce offers bag storage options nearby, so visitors can drop off bulky items before entering. Tram 14 stops directly at the ARTIS entrance, making it easy to plan a quick stop along the way. The zoo itself is one of Europe's oldest, dating back to 1838, and a visit typically takes three to four hours. That's a long time to carry extra weight. With €10,000 protection on every booking, families can focus on the elephants and penguins instead of watching their bags.

Left luggage options near Amsterdam Centraal for ARTIS visitors

Recommended for: backpackers and budget travelers, international leisure tourists.

Amsterdam Centraal is where most travelers arrive before heading to ARTIS Zoo. The journey from the station to the Plantage takes about 10 to 15 minutes by tram. For anyone checking out of a hostel or arriving on an early train, carrying a heavy backpack through the zoo isn't practical. Bounce provides luggage locker alternatives throughout the city, with prices starting from €3.25. Dropping bags near Centraal or along the Waterlooplein corridor means a lighter walk through Plantage Kerklaan to the zoo gates. The area between Centraal and ARTIS passes through Nieuwmarkt and the old Jewish Quarter, with plenty of cafés and the famous flea market along the way. After a full day at the zoo, picking up bags on the return route keeps things simple before catching a late train or bus.

Luggage lockers near Waterlooplein and the route to Amsterdam Zoo

Recommended for: cruise passengers, day trippers from nearby dutch cities, backpackers and budget travelers.

Waterlooplein metro station is one of the closest transit stops to ARTIS Zoo, just a short walk through the Plantage. Cruise passengers arriving at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam or day trippers coming from Utrecht or Rotterdam often pass through this area. The neighborhood has a relaxed feel, with leafy boulevards and the Hortus Botanicus nearby. Storing bags here before visiting the zoo makes sense, especially when time is tight. Bounce has been trusted by over 2,000,000 travelers worldwide, offering secure spots at local shops and hotels. The walk from Waterlooplein to the ARTIS entrance takes roughly five minutes through tree lined streets. Once inside the zoo, visitors typically spend three to five hours exploring over 900 animal species and the renovated aquarium. Picking up luggage afterward is easy, right on the way back to the metro or tram.
