  • Simple and effective. Be sure to check the prices carefully, as they vary between shops, some of which are located next to each other.

  • The booking process was smooth with the store manager, and our luggage was stored in an area inaccessible to other customers. I wouldn't hesitate to book again at the end of my stay.

  • Easy to find, store owner was very kind, explained process, had me take picture of two bags, placed them in hidden space (not-customer accessible), and asked when I thought I might return. I came back, showed him the photo, and took my bags. Online payment process was easy as well. Would do this again (especially because this location is 3-4 minutes from the Rijksmuseum so if you are visiting there and want to store things, very practical and reasonable fee). Thank you!

  • Good service. We were a little apprehensive about leaving our bag in a shop like that, but the gentleman explained that we need to take a photo when we leave our bags so they can give them back to us. Without a photo, they won't return the bag. I advise against leaving your bag with valuables and keeping it locked with a padlock... to feel more at ease. But it's a good service and a great option to make the most of your trip. There's transport to the airport near the shop, which is convenient (surface metro about 15 minutes and then change to the train).

Get the most out of your time in Rijksmuseum

Where to leave your bags when visiting Rijksmuseum

Recommended for: tourists, event attendees, locals.

So you're heading to the Rijksmuseum with a suitcase in tow? Yeah, that happens more than you'd think. The museum itself has a cloakroom, but here's the thing: large bags and trolleys aren't allowed inside. They only take small coats and handbags. Learned that the hard way once. Museumplein sits right in the heart of Amsterdam's cultural quarter, surrounded by the Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk, and Concertgebouw. Beautiful area, but not great for dragging luggage around on those cobblestones. There's a Lockerpoint right in the Q Park parking garage underneath the square. One entrance sits next to the Van Gogh Museum, the other on Van Baerlestraat near the tram stops. Pretty convenient if you're arriving by tram 3, 5, or 12. Bounce offers bag storage starting from €1.95 at partner shops and hotels nearby, such as the Vondelpark Storage Spot. You can book online, drop your stuff, and actually enjoy Rembrandt's Night Watch without worrying about where to put your backpack. The Museum Quarter is walkable, green, and full of cafes. Much better to experience it with both hands free.

Luggage storage tips for business travelers near Museumplein

Recommended for: business travelers, digital nomads.

Got an early flight into Schiphol and your hotel won't let you check in until 3 pm? Classic Amsterdam situation. The Museum Quarter area has become a hub for business travelers, with conference spaces and corporate offices scattered between the cultural landmarks. If you're catching the 397 bus from Museumplein to the airport later, storing your bags nearby makes sense. No point dragging a roller bag through a client meeting or trying to work from a cafe with luggage taking up the whole aisle. The neighborhood has solid wifi, great coffee spots along Van Baerlestraat, and enough quiet corners to take calls. Bounce locations around Museumplein let you store bags securely while you handle business. Each booking includes €10,000 protection, which honestly just removes one more thing from your mental checklist. The Concertgebouw tram stop connects you to Central Station in about 15 minutes if you need to head elsewhere. Quick, practical, no fuss. That's usually what you need between meetings.

Storing bags before concerts and events at Museumplein

Recommended for: event attendees, tourists, locals.

Museumplein transforms throughout the year. Outdoor festivals in summer, ice skating in winter, and the Concertgebouw hosting performances year-round. Showing up to any of these with a big backpack or shopping bags? Not ideal. The square itself doesn't have public lockers, which catches people off guard. Smart move: leave your stuff at a Bounce partner location before the event starts. The app rating sits at 4.9, and there's a reason people keep using it. Vondelpark is literally a five-minute walk from here. Locals often combine a museum visit with a stroll through the park, maybe grab some food at one of the pavilions. Doing all that while carrying gear from a day trip? Exhausting. Leidseplein is also close by, full of theaters and nightlife spots. If you're making an evening of it after a concert, having your hands free just makes everything easier. The area around Rijksmuseum stays lively until late, so you can pick up your bags whenever works for your schedule.
