About Chelsea
Chelsea is located between the Hudson River and West Street on the west and Sixth Avenue on the east; its southern limit is at West 14th Street, while its northern boundary extends to West 34th Street. In addition to countless art galleries, Chelsea is home to many designer boutiques and shops catering to high-end, fashionable crowds. Chelsea is also well-known for its considerable LGBTQ population.
Fun fact: The RMS Titanic was en route to dock at Chelsea Piers before fatefully sinking on April 15, 1912.
