It also took over the historic CBD and was named one of the country’s biggest financial centers.

The park, which was named after botanist Charles Torrey Simpson in 1927, is home to about 9 threatened and 15 endangered plant species. It is one of the few green spaces in Brickell and is frequented by both locals and tourists who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
