All about the Port of Miami
One of the world’s largest and most popular cruise terminals is the state-of-the-art PortMiami, which accommodates more than a million cruise passengers every year. Massive cruise lines like Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Group, and Virgin Voyages all have a significant presence at PortMiami, with major routes to the Caribbean and beyond.
Cruise passengers often find themselves needing a secure place to store bags, and it’s no different in Miami. The Bounce luggage storage service is by far the most reliable way to keep your bags safe and secure while you head out on a cruise or sightsee through Miami. From West Palm Beach to South Beach, our locations offer travelers convenient access to secure luggage storage no matter where they’re heading, like the one at Port of Miami.
How to get to or from the Port of Miami
The port is set on Dodge, Lummus, and Sam's Islands between South Beach and downtown Miami, making it accessible from most parts of the city. While plenty of passengers choose to drive to the port and park their cars, the vast majority of travelers will fly into Miami International Airport and make their way to the cruise terminal from there. The official address for PortMiami is 1015 North America Way, Miami, FL, 33132.
Driving and parking
PortMiami offers parking for every terminal at five different garages. There's a free shuttle service interconnecting all parking facilities with the cruise terminal. While this is convenient for many local travelers, the added expense of parking on a weeklong cruise would not make sense for passengers flying into Miami.
Public transportation
If you’re heading directly to the port from Miami International Airport, the most convenient way to reach the Port of Miami is by taxi or rideshare. The average cost of a ride is about $60, but you'll reach your cruise terminal in about 30 minutes. If you want to save money, you can take the Metrorail's Orange Line to the Freedom Tower stop in downtown Miami before taking the Coral Way trolley to the port. This takes a little over an hour.
The best Port of Miami luggage storage service is easily Bounce, but cruise passengers will find secure luggage storage locations in every major travel destination around the world. So download our mobile app to plan out every stop on your upcoming cruise!
