About Sky Tower
Rising high above the city of Auckland, New Zealand is the Sky Tower, an observation and telecommunications tower that stands at 1,076 feet tall. The Sky Tower is a hub of activity where thrill seekers can come and plunge off the tower or walk along the outdoor walkway. Yoga sessions are offered high inside the tower. Enjoy a cup of flavorful coffee while looking out over the city or sit down to a delicious meal at the Orbit 360 Restaurant, where you will eat while the entire restaurant slowly turns around the tower.
Step out onto the outdoor walkway that is four feet wide and 720 feet above the ground. View the landscape from three different observation decks. There are three elevators with glass fronts that can hold up to 225 people that go to the observation decks. Look out over the landscape and over the top of the city. Shop at the Sky Tower Gift Shop and find Kiwiana souvenirs and gifts as well as All Blacks Adidas. Visit Sky City, which sits at the base of Sky Tower with over 20 restaurants and bars and two full casinos after exploring all Sky Tower has to offer.
You can stay at one of the hotels in Sky City so you are within walking distance of Sky Tower, or you can head out into Auckland to find accommodations nearby. Sky City is set up just like a miniature city within Auckland and has become a tourist hotspot. Get out into Auckland and explore the other attractions and historical landmarks that make the city so great. You will not be disappointed.
