  • Easy drop-off and pickup, convenient for a nearby consulate appointment; the only snag was that I had to check the bag out myself online to ensure Bounce didn’t charge for extra time because the staff didn’t put in that I’d picked it up.

  • They were very reassuring and easygoing. My only thing was my luggage was only covered by frames in the front. Kind of wished they had a separate back room to make it feel more secure. The other reviews haven’t said anything about their bags getting snatched in this location, so I presume they keep a good eye on your things.

Luggage storage near the Met main entrance

Recommended for: tourists, event attendees.

Visiting the Met with a rolling suitcase or backpack? It’s a busy spot, especially around the main entrance and lobby. You’ll see folks snapping photos with the grand steps, maybe juggling a stroller or a gallery guide. Storing your bag here can make the whole museum feel more open. Just a few blocks away, there’s a spot called Lexington Ave Storage Spot where you can drop off your luggage for a few hours. It’s practical for anyone catching a timed ticket or heading to a rooftop reception later. From $2.90 per bag, you just book ahead and leave your things while you wander the galleries or grab a coffee. Each booking has a $10,000 protection, so there’s less to worry about. Bounce now has several spots right around the Met, so there’s usually something close by.
