If you've just arrived at Sapporo Station and every coin locker is taken, you can book a nearby Bounce location instead. Construction work has affected locker availability, and lockers can be full by around noon on weekends when events overlap. Our 24-hour partner south of the station is about 5 minutes away, so it's useful for an early arrival or a late pickup. Once your bags are sorted, the Chi-Ka-Ho underground walkway connects the station area with Odori Station, giving you a sheltered route south toward the city center. The passage runs beneath Ekimae-dori, with seating areas and free Wi-Fi along the way. From Odori, you can continue into Odori Park without bringing your suitcase along for the walk.

Heading to Otaru for the canal? You can leave your larger bags in Sapporo and travel with just what you need for the day. JR trains connect the two cities, and the canal is about a 10-minute walk from JR Otaru Station. Its walking path runs beside old stone warehouses, with gas lamps that light up at dusk. The storage spot on Kita 7-jo Nishi sits about 4 minutes from your departure station and is open from 10am to 6:30pm every day. Allow time for the return train and the walk back to collect your bags before closing. If you want to see the canal lights and stay for dinner, a location with later pickup hours gives you more time in Otaru.

Coin lockers are available near the West Concourse North Exit and the East Ticket Gate. Prices run from about ¥400 to ¥800 depending on size, with access generally from 5:15am to midnight. But they can fill up on weekends when events overlap, and standard compartments may not fit a snowboard or long ski bag. Dedicated sports-equipment lockers are limited, too.
