Nature takes its space, transforming Genoa into a living canvas.

EuroFlora reflects the beauty of floriculture while embracing nature. Emile Debroise, president of the AIPH (International Association of Horticultural Producers), authorized the event on 27 August 1965. The first edition of this event took place in 1966 in Genoa, Italy. That year, among many visitors, Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier of Monaco were also present. They all witnessed the beginning of an inspiring poetic journey—EuroFlora.

Since its inception, the event has hosted over 6,300 flower competitions. The venues have changed, but the enduring connection between nature, art, and culture has remained. First, it was held at the trade fair complex in Genoa, and then it moved to Parchi di Nervi in 2018. The XIII International Exhibition of the Flower and Ornamental Plants will take place at the Waterfront di Levante, designed by architect Renzo Piano.

What to Expect When Attending EuroFlora 2025

Competitions are always a central highlight of this Green Olympics. Ars Urbana EuroFlora 2025 launches its designer competition when 14 visionary projects for EuroFlora 2025 will be presented. A second expert jury will evaluate these initiatives on Thursday, April 23. New and established artists will delve into themes of renewal, sustainability, and the intricate relationship between humanity and nature.

Alongside the Ars Urbana contest, expect a full schedule of floral workshops, demonstrations, expert discussions, and cultural activities. Industry professionals will provide insights into sustainable gardening, innovative floral techniques, and the latest plant breeding trends.

Diverse floral elements, including stunning flower arrangements, cut flowers, bonsais, and so on, will inspire and testify to the creative possibilities of floriculture. The artistry of flower arrangements takes center stage as designers create stunning displays that blend colors, textures, and shapes into harmonious compositions.

We can look forward to mild and pleasant weather this time of year! Daytime temperatures usually hover around 16 C (61 F), while the nights are a bit cooler, averaging about 8 C (46 F). You can expect a lot of sunshine, but it’s always good to be prepared for some rain, as well. So, don’t forget to pack your umbrella and a light jacket—it’ll keep you cozy!

How to Get To or From the Event

The easiest way to reach the Waterfront di Levante is by bus:

• Line 31 runs from the eastern districts of Genoa and is bound to Genova Brignole railway station.
• Line 20 runs from Genova Piazza Principe railway station and can also take you to the venue.
• Line 13 is ideal for travelers transitioning from the Old Port (Porto Antico) to EuroFlora. It departs from Piazza Turati, close to the Underground San Giorgio station, and arrives at the Saffi 5/Pescatori bus stop—and vice versa.

Driving to Euroflora is not recommended, as no parking will be available for visitors near the exhibition grounds.
