The Goodguys 15th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals, presented by Old Air Products, is set to take place on April 25 and 26 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.

This show, organized by the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, marks the beginning of the hot rodding season.

Goodguys started offering automotive events in 1983. Some of them are Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals, which takes place in July, and Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals, which takes place in November. Now, 18 events of this kind happen annually across the country! In 2010, the Spring Lone Star Nationals was added to the list of these events, and it quickly became very popular.

The Goodguys Car Show celebrates over 2,500 of the Southwest's coolest hot rods, tricked-out trucks, muscle cars, classics, and custom builds. It spotlights thousands of vintage vehicles, from pre-1988 hot rods and muscle cars to more modern performance machines. Car enthusiasts and collectors will find meticulously restored and modified automobiles on display, each with its own unique history and customization.

A key event highlight is the Goodguys Autocross, which hosts the Speedtech Performance Lone Star Shootout on Saturday afternoon! In a timed competition, drivers push their classic and performance vehicles to the limit. In addition, the burnout competition and Nitro Thunderfest dragster exhibitions provide high-energy entertainment with roaring engines and tire smoke.

The event also features a historic Pate Swap meet and vendor marketplace, where you can look for expert advice on restoration and purchase rare car parts and vintage memorabilia. You can shop and meet with hundreds of the industry’s top manufacturers and enjoy live music and the Free Kids Zone featuring the Auto World Model Car Make & Take on Friday and Saturday.

Be prepared for occasional rain but generally pleasant spring temperatures. In April 2025, Fort Worth is expected to have warm and slightly damp weather. Daytime temperatures will average around 77 F (25 C), while nighttime lows will be around 55 F (13 C).

There is no direct public transit to Texas Motor Speedway. The nearest Trinity Metro TEXRail station is in North Richland Hills, about 15 miles away. From there, you'll need a taxi or rideshare service.
