Atlanta Dogwood Festival 2025

When Atlanta’s dogwood trees burst into bloom, the city knows it’s time for a celebration!

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival celebrates the blooming of native dogwood trees each year. For over 80 years, this Atlanta staple has transformed Piedmont Park into a lively space filled with live music, arts and crafts, food vendors, and activities for families.

In 2012, this festival was ranked No. 35 in Sunshine Artist Magazine's Best 200 fine arts festivals in the United States!

Dogwood trees (Cornus florida) are rich in history, symbolism, and Southern charm. These trees bloom in early spring and cover Atlanta with delicate white, pink, and red flowers. Every spring, the Piedmont Park becomes a dreamy place.

Join us from April 11 to 13 in Atlanta!

What to Expect When Attending the Atlanta Dogwood Festival 2025

The festival celebrates art, music, and fun! Here's what you'll find in Piedmont Park:

One of the festival's highlights is a nationally renowned juried Fine Artist Market, featuring over 260 artists nationwide. You'll find paintings, sculptures, pottery, photography, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and more.

Enjoy local and national bands performing a mix of rock, jazz, blues, folk, and pop on the Coca-Cola Main Stage. The International Stage will host cultural performances, with music and dance from different countries.

On Saturday morning (April 12) at 8 AM, there will be a special event: the Atlanta Dogwood Festival Mimosa 5K Race. This is a fun run through Midtown Atlanta, ending with mimosas for participants (those 21 and above). You can register for the race for $40 now or $45 on the race day.

This family-friendly event offers a Kids Village with interactive games, rides, and arts & crafts for children. Younger attendees can also enjoy face painting, puppet shows, and hands-on workshops.

The High School Art Exhibition, a prestigious juried art show, features the best student artwork from Atlanta-area high schools. Categories include sculpture, painting, drawing, and photography. This event is a great way to support young, emerging artists!

When you need a break, you can buy tasty food and drinks from vendors. There will be many local and international cuisine options, including funnel cakes, corn dogs, BBQ, tacos, sushi, dumplings, and salads. Beer gardens will serve local craft beers and popular domestic brews, and wine tastings will feature selections from Georgia wineries and beyond. You'll also find cocktails and non-alcoholic options, like fresh lemonade and iced coffee. Something for everyone!

You can enjoy the festival for free! If you’re able, a small donation of just $5 would really help organizers keep this wonderful event going strong.

If you're interested in VIP access, you can purchase tickets to Party in the Park. This event provides an excellent view of the Coca-Cola Main Stage, along with a discounted cash bar, beer and wine tastings, private restrooms, and additional amenities.

Security Protocols

For everyone's safety, the event follows standard security protocols. Bag checks will be conducted at entry points; large backpacks, weapons, outside alcohol, and glass containers are prohibited. Security personnel and police officers will be present throughout Piedmont Park to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

How to Get To or From the Event

Here's how to get to Piedmont Park (400 Park Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30306):

MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) is the best way to avoid parking hassles.

  • Train: Take the Red or Gold Line to Midtown Station or Arts Center Station. From Midtown Station, you'll have to walk about 15 minutes east along 10th Street to Piedmont Park. From Arts Center Station, walk south on West Peachtree St, then east on 14th Street (about a 20-minute walk). Alternatively, you can take Bus 27 from Arts Center Station, which stops near the park.

  • Car: If you prefer driving, keep in mind that parking is limited around Piedmont Park. You can park at Midtown garages or lots, such as Piedmont Park Parking Garage, Lanier Parking at 10th & Piedmont, and Colony Square Parking (14th St).

Atlanta Dogwood Festival 2025 Bag Policy

You can carry small purses, fanny packs, and clear bags. Large backpacks, suitcases, and oversized bags are prohibited. Also, you can't bring coolers, picnic baskets, or outside food or drinks.
