Luggage storage Kyoto Station

There was someone who could speak Japanese, and they were very polite.

It's conveniently located near the station. The service was quick and polite, which was great.

Kyoto Station is incredibly busy, but impressively well-organized and easy to navigate. Despite the constant flow of people, everything runs smoothly, making it a very functional hub whether you’re arriving, departing, or just passing through. What makes it even better is the variety of restaurants and shopping options right inside the station. From quick bites to full dining experiences, there’s something for everyone, and it’s a great place to explore while taking a break from sightseeing. The selection of shops is also excellent, with plenty of options for souvenirs and everyday needs. A big plus is the direct access to the department store (Isetan), which makes shopping even more convenient without having to step outside. Overall, it’s more than just a train station—it’s a lively, all-in-one destination that adds to the Kyoto experience.

Super friendly staff and took really good care of our belongings. It is also very easy to find once you leave the station through the west exit. Pro tip: there is a 7/11 right around the corner.

I used MK Travel at Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit, and it was very easy to deposit my luggage by simply scanning the QR code I created in advance. They were very kind and helpful, which made me feel at ease.
