Metro lines

Madrid Atocha is well-connected to the Madrid Metro system:

The Line 6 bus will take you to the Atocha Train Station. Empresa Municipal de Transportes operates bus travel in the region and there is often a convenient location to hop on a bus, no matter where you are in the city. These are other useful bus routes:

• Bus 14: Connects to Serrano and Avenida de América.
• Bus 27: Provides access to Plaza Castilla and Paseo de la Castellana.
• Airport Express Bus: Direct route to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (40 mins).

Airport connections

For airport transfers, Madrid Atocha provides convenient routes to Madrid Airport:

• Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport: Accessible via the Cercanías C1 Line (25 mins) or by taking the Metro Line 1 to Nuevos Ministerios and transferring to Metro Line 8 (40 mins total). Also reachable using the Airport Express Bus.
