It is made of genuine gold leaf, which was an addition made as a remembrance of the gold rush of Colorado in 1908. The 272-foot building makes a stunning photo with the Rocky Mountains in the background.

Once you get inside, you’ll see rare rose marble called Colorado Rose Onyx and Yule Marble. The stained-glass windows are dedicated to events or people related to Colorado history. The hall with portraits of every president is a great place for selfies. The statue out front is of an American Indian standing over a bison, built for the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair.
