Kenny King, a vendor at a local show, founded this event in 1984. He set up a small circus tent and called it the RV Show. The show quickly gained attention as RV travelers who wintered in the area spread the word. By the 1990s, the RV Show expanded into what is now known as the "Big Tent"—a massive 70,000+ square-foot structure that houses exhibitors from across the RV industry.

Quartzsite is now known as the 'Largest Gathering of RVers in the World!' It attracts an estimated 1 million visitors over its 9-day span each year.
