The Arizona Renaissance Festival, a significant travel through time and space, was first held in 1989, making it one of the longest-running Renaissance festivals in the U.S. It's a vibrant picture of a European Renaissance village located in Gold Canyon.

This fictional village is open for nine weekends, each Saturday and Sunday, including Presidents Day Monday.

Feel free to experience days of bravery, chivalry, and so much more from February 1 to March 30!

What to Expect When Attending Arizona Renaissance Festival 2025

Each weekend has a unique theme with a jousting tournament, a feast, and guaranteed entertainment!

February 1 and 2 is an Opening Weekend, with special performances and an introduction to the festival's characters and storylines. The second one is Chivalry and Champions Weekend,

Royalty and Romance are the themes for the third weekend when everyone celebrates love! What's interesting is that couples will be able to renew their wedding vows and enjoy some special activities!

The fourth, Time Travelers Weekend, encourages visitors to dress in non-Renaissance costumes and travel through time! Pirate Invasion awaits you on March 1 and 2! Dress as a pirate and have fun at pirate-themed shows, contests, and merchandise! Artisan Appreciation and Wizards and Wonder Weekend brings an arts and crafts fair. Celtic Weekend is a tribute to Irish and Scottish culture, with bagpipers, Celtic music, and dancing, followed by Viking Invasion Weekend with live demonstrations of Viking life, including blacksmithing, weaving, and cooking. Jousting knights will even face off against Viking warriors at special exhibitions!

Finally, there's a Final Weekend, a grand farewell celebration with special performances and end-of-season sales at artisan shops.

Expect mild weather during February, with temperatures ranging from 50F (10C) at night to highs around 70F (21C) during the day. The weather will be slightly warmer during March. Dress in interesting costumes, but bring a jacket to warm you up during cooler evenings!

• Car: The exact address is 12601 E. US Highway 60, Gold Canyon, AZ, approximately 40 miles east of Phoenix. From Phoenix, take the US-60 East toward Globe. The festival site is located near Gold Canyon, and signage along the highway will guide you to the free parking areas. The drive typically takes about 45-60 minutes. From Tucson, take I-10 West, then US-60 East. The journey is about two hours.

Public transport is limited in this area, so it's advisable to go by car or use rideshare services like Uber or Lyft.
