Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Kastel Luksic.
We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.
Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Kastel Luksic.

While the hard-partying Dubrovnik gets all the headlines, there are plenty of other wonderful coastal towns in Croatia worth checking out. Kastel Luksic flies under the radar, but this certainly plays to the town’s strengths. Situated just west of Split, Kastel Luksic is a fairly easy day trip destination from the Dalmatian capital and an ideal setting for a laidback getaway on the Adriatic. It’s also easy to reach, as you can fly into nearby Split Airport and take a quick taxi or bus ride to Kastel Luksic.
With the lush Marjan Hill in the background, Kastel Luksic enjoys miles of beaches and rocky outcrops with ideal swimming and snorkeling conditions. One of the historic Kastels, which is a series of seven castles built in the 15th and 16th centuries, there’s a historic side of Kastel Luksic as well. The Old Town that clusters around the fortress of the same name makes the town an ideal sightseeing destination.
Here’s everything you need to know about traveling to Kastel Luksic:
If you’re heading to Kastel Luksic from Split Airport, you won’t be able to rely on luggage lockers to store luggage for a few hours or an entire day. Your hotel is an option, but this can be inconvenient if your accommodations are out of the way. It might be better to drop the bags off near your destination and then pick up your belongings after you’ve had a day of sightseeing. There are a few options for luggage storage Kastel Luksic has available, but by far the most reliable one is Bounce. Our dedicated service has luggage storage facilities throughout Croatia, including convenient locations in Kastel Luksic. So you can explore these travel destinations free of your bags and suitcases. Bounce partners with local shops and businesses to provide customers with the most convenient locations, and the mobile app makes booking online possible.
The most prominent of the defensive castles situated on the coast surrounding Split, Castle Vitturi is a must-visit when traveling to Kastel Luksic. Built in the 16th century by Noble families from Split and Trogir, Vitturi’s formidable southern wall warded off invaders from the sea for centuries. The castle is named for the Vitturi brothers who designed and built it. There's a large central courtyard you'll walk through through the main gate, and there are multiple structures that make up the castle, including the large defensive wall, and the primary sea-facing tower that has access directly from the Adriatic.
Defensive measures weren't the only factors in the castle's design, as there are wonderful Renaissance flourishes to the facade and interior. Today it functions as both the museum and cultural center where plenty of local events and concerts take place throughout the year. It's immediately accessible from the promenade and is an easy stop on any sightseeing trip through Kastel Luksic.
‘Kula Cippico’ is situated one town over in Kaštel Novi and, like nearly all fortifications along the Dalmatian Coast, was built to defend the Croatian settlements against the Ottoman incursions into the Baltics. Then part of the Venetian Republic, the advanced defense features of the castle made all the difference in protecting the city of Split during the 16th century. Situated atop a craggy outcrop of sea rock, the large tower featured defensive walls, a drawbridge, and multiple gates accessible from both the sea and the mainland. You can tour the tower's interior or simply admire it from the promenade or the water.
This tiny museum is situated right in the center of town and goes into great detail, explaining the history of the castles lining the Dalmatian coast around Split. The various exhibits feature detailed information (in English) about the reasons for these castles and both the noblemen and commoners who built these defensive fortifications. It's not a terribly big museum, but it only takes about an hour to tour and it's well worth it. Especially on the off chance it's raining.
If you need a proper shop experience, a small town like Kastel Luksic simply won't have what you're looking for. With some of the best luxury boutiques and designer brands in Croatia, Split’s marble-tiled Marmont Street is one of the country's most glamorous shopping destinations. A shopping spree through this street is easy to tack onto any trip to Split, being a short walk from the Riva Promenade. Zara, Massimo Dutti, and Bershka are just a few of the designer brands that have a presence on Marmont.
No matter how you choose to suspend your time in Kastel Luksic, you're bound to end up strolling along the waterfront promenade. The options may be limited, but the cluster of boutiques and craft stores offers the maximum amount of charm. The town’s stores are especially useful for artisanal food goods like locally-produced olive oil, wine, and lavender products.
If you're gonna take a trip to this part of Croatia, it would be a shame to skip Split. There are plenty of worthy landmarks and attractions, but one of the coolest is this subterranean market right in Old Town. With stone walls and a medieval-like setting, there isn't a cooler place to shop through vendors selling jewelry and other handcrafted items.
This upscale seafood restaurant boasts an airy dining room and terrace overlooking the waterfront. While the menu varies daily based on what the fisherman caught, their tuna steak and grilled sea bass are standard offerings, usually topped with a delicious white wine sauce. Each dish is presented beautifully in the modern “ tweezer food” aesthetic you'll find at Michelin-recognized joints, but the prices are fairly affordable.
While this tavern setting definitely gives off the hole-in-the-wall vibe, the food is top-notch and has certainly earned the approval of the locals. While it’s about a 10-minute walk from the waterfront, you’ll feel like an in-the-know foodie when you walk in there and confidently order the lamb.
Set in the hills overlooking the rest of Kastel Luksic and the sea, Kadinla is well worth the trek up the leafy slopes of Kozjak Hill. Dalmatian standards like roast lamb and lemony catch-of-the-day are paired with Selections from their deep cellar of Croatian vintages.
