About the Port of Seattle

Aside from being one of the West Coast’s best travel destinations, Seattle is also home to one of the most prominent cruise terminals in the country. You've likely heard about cruises exploring the majestic Alaskan coastline at this point. Nearly all of these cruises are chartered out of the Port of Seattle, with many travelers using Seattle-Tacoma International Airport as their destination airport. The port is conveniently sandwiched between downtown Seattle and the Puget Sound. It’s a major hub for Alaska Cruises and Holland America along with several other major cruise lines.

Whether you want to explore Seattle between your arrival in the city and your boat’s scheduled departure or want to plan your itineraries when your cruise ship docks, you may find a need for reliable luggage storage during your trip. Our luggage storage service at 2523 1st Ave has quickly become the go-to resource for cruise passengers and veteran travelers.

How to get to or from the Port of Seattle

The Port of Seattle refers to a major complex that includes the cruise terminal along with infrastructure handling cargo coming across the Pacific. The Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66 and the Smith Cove Terminal at Pier 91 are where the vast majority of cruise passengers will pass through to reach Alaska Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Oceania Cruises. The cruise port is located at 2711 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98121 near downtown. It's easily reached by car and public transportation.

Driving and parking

The cruise terminal is easily reached from Interstate 5, and there is ample space for parking at the terminal outside Smith Cove and Pier 91. There are shuttles in between every cruise terminal that will help you reach your exact point of departure.

Walkable attractions

Space Needle (13 minutes), Pike Place Market (15 minutes), Pioneer Square (20 minutes), Downtown Seattle (16 minutes), Seattle Aquarium (20 minutes)

Connections to the airport

To get from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the easiest way to reach the cruise terminal is by taxi. The average cost of a trip is $60 and you should reach the terminal within 30 minutes. The Airport Shuttle Service is another option, although it's less convenient for reaching your exact cruise ship.
