Austin Airport, formally known as the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA), is an international airport located in Austin, Texas, about 8 kilometers southeast of the city’s downtown area. The airport was named after Captain John August Earl Bergstrom, who was an officer with the 19th Bombardment Group. It is categorized as a Class C airport, which means it has a regular commercial passenger service of at least 100 passengers per flight. Austin Airport is ranked the 34th busiest airport in the United States, serving the greater Austin metropolitan area with daily departures to 76 destinations, both local and international. 

The Austin Airport is the city’s primary airport, after replacing the Robert Mueller Municipal Airport, and serves as the main gateway to the capital city of Texas.
