About Kuala Lumpur Airport

Kuala Lumpur International Airport is the main airport, as well as the largest in Malaysia. It is also one of the largest in Asia. Located about 28 miles from the city center, the airport hosts almost 60 million passengers per year. Opened in 1998, this airport has over 7.9 million square feet with quite a bit to do on your layover.

While you are waiting around, grab some souvenirs at one of the shops or kiosks around the airport. Level one has a general store, the third floor has a candy shop, gift kiosk, and a couple of fashion shops. But it is the fifth floor that has the largest selection with a bookstore, Valentinos, Time, Sembonia, and several more.

Hungry? On the second floor of the main terminal, you can get just about any kind of cuisine you can think of. In fact, they have eateries on every level of the airport. The third floor has kiosks with Wok Express, Cadbury’s, and Café Ritazza to name a few. Another food court on the fourth level has many more choices. The airport even has a clinic, several lounges, a spa, showers, and sleeping pods if you need a nap.

Fun Fact: The airport has a Jungle Boardwalk where you can enjoy a walk through the jungle in the middle of the terminal.
