The street vendors make up most of the retail sales on Khao San Road, and you can find just about anything you want there. After dark, you will find the other side of tourism with music, bars, and exotic snacks. 

Nowadays, the street has morphed into several streets with bright lights and loud music at all hours of the day and night, where you can get a drink, meal, and massage for less than 20 bucks. And pop into one of the shops or stalls for a tattoo while you are there. Whatever you do, have fun and be alert for those annoying vendors selling fake IDs.
