Angel Stadium Bag Policy: Everything You Need to Know
Angel Stadium has been the home stadium of the MLB Los Angeles Angels since 1966. To say this stadium has history coursing through it would be an understatement. For more than 50 years this stadium has been a fixture in Orange County, with countless fans showing up for ball games. Even though this is an older stadium, it seats more than 45,000 fans, making it a little easier for those who want tickets to get them. Over the years it has also hosted World Series games and history plays and achievements by legendary players.
It's not just ballgames that take place in this stadium, it has also hosted musicians, and other performers looking to wow the crowds and create memorable experiences. Because it's located outside of Los Angeles in Anaheim, it means guests don't have to fight the traffic that LA has become known for.
A trip to Angel Stadium could include sightseeing, shopping, dining, and exploring Anaheim at a more leisurely pace than LA. And let's not forget, Anaheim is also the home of a world-famous attraction, Disneyland. Disneyland is made up of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District. There is fun to be had by all ages, so including a visit to the parks in your itinerary is wise.
But before you get too far ahead of yourself, you need to be aware of the bag policy at Angel Stadium. If you've got tickets for shortly after you arrive in Anaheim you may have all your luggage and bags with you, and you certainly can't take those to the stadium. Not to worry, we've got the perfect solution which we'll discuss as we look at the bag policy in depth.
Angel Stadium Bag Policy
To get through the gates and security quickly and smoothly, you need to be aware of the bag policy. There are some strict rules when it comes to what's permitted inside Angel Stadium. Most bags are classified as prohibited items with very few exceptions. Any fanny packs, clutches, purses or bags that are smaller than 12” x 12” are permitted inside Angel Stadium. Bags can only have a single zipper or pocket. A clear plastic bag with no obscured interior pockets and isn't larger than 12.75” x 6.5” x 12.75” is also allowed.
Not allowed inside Angel Stadium are backpacks and briefcases. Larger bags over the size restriction are also strictly prohibited. Medical exceptions can be made, including baby carriers and diaper bags, but will need to go through a screening process and the metal detector.
Laptop computers are allowed in the stadium, but remember, the carrying case needs to comply with the above-mentioned regulations.
Because there aren’t any luggage lockers or storage facilities onsite, you'll need to leave backpacks, oversized bags, and suitcases elsewhere. This is where we swoop in to help you out, offering convenient and affordable temporary luggage storage.

Angel Stadium Food Policy
Bringing food and drinks into the ballpark is allowed but with restrictions. Food needs to be in a clear plastic bag no larger than one gallon. It needs to be individual portions so that it's clear it's meant for you only.
In terms of beverages, you can bring factory-sealed plastic bottles of water or sports drinks. It is one per person, and it can't be more than one liter. Alcoholic beverages can't be brought into the park, but you can purchase alcohol inside at the concession stands. Frozen water bottles aren't typically allowed unless it's really hot and Angels baseball allows the exception.
A better plan is to buy fast food or any type of snacks and meals offered in the concession stands.
Transportation Options
You can drive to the ballpark using a few different routes, but chances are you'll be stuck in some pretty busy traffic. You may risk getting to the game on time. Taxi and rideshares can be more convenient and there are specified pickup and drop-off points at the stadium.
Public transportation is available through The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). Buses run throughout the day with a drop-off near the gates. There is also the Anaheim-ARITC Metrolink Station which is within walking distance to the stadium.
Angel Stadium Camera Policy
Feel free to bring your camera as long as the lens isn't longer than 6" and it isn't detachable. Any professional equipment including tripods is prohibited. Selfie sticks can be used as long as they don't get in the way of fans' enjoyment around you.
Permitted items
The list of permitted items includes such things as tablets, laptops, and small radios. Each item needs to be able to fit under your seat.
For guests with young children, strollers are also allowed but they need to be stored in a specific area near the gates.
Entry to Angel Stadium
The gates open 90 minutes before the scheduled first pitch, which allows time for fans to view batting practice and get situated before the game. The same policy applies to concerts or events unless otherwise stated by the organizer. Re-entry is not allowed for any ticket holder.
There is also contactless entry available through the MLB Ballpark App as well as Apple or Google Wallet on mobile devices. Hard tickets are still available for box office customers, however.
Cashless Environment
If you plan on buying fan gear, merchandise, or food and drink at the concession stands, you'll need to use a cashless form of payment. Credit cards and debit cards are accepted, and even mobile payments at some stands. There are also reverse ATMs that will convert cash to a VISA debit card.
Segway Policy
Here's something you don't hear about at a typical baseball stadium. Angel Stadium has a pilot Segway program meant to help those with mobility issues. Fans with disabilities should contact Angels Guest Services ahead of time to ask about the program.
