The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) presents you with the 68th annual Virginia MOCA Boardwalk Art Show. It all started in 1956 when the MoCA started to organize an outdoor event for art enthusiasts. Today, this show is ranked as one of the top 15 fine art shows of the decade by Sunshine Artist magazine.

The Virginia MOCA Boardwalk Art Show has it all - from classic and contemporary to unconventional and eccentric art. It includes several mediums, with some of them being painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. And, let's not forget the crafts such as jewelry and clothing.

Here, artists from across the country gather to present their artwork and showcase their creativity and talent through the highest caliber fine art pieces.

A fun fact is that this is one of the only outdoor art shows produced by an accredited museum!

This three-day festival welcomes all art lovers from October 4 to October 6 at the Virginia Beach boardwalk. 

What to Expect When Attending Boardwalk Art Show 2024

The event is held outdoors, which means you'll be able to enjoy both the art show and the beautiful scenery surrounding you.

The opening hours are:

• Friday: 10 am to 7 pm.
• Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm.
• Sunday: 10 am to 4 pm.

• Car: If you decide to go by car, use Interstate 264 (I-264) to head towards the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. There are parking spots available near the venue.
• Bus: Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) offers bus services to the Oceanfront from different parts of the city. Bus routes 20, 33, and 35 serve the Virginia Beach area.
