About Fishtown
Fishtown, located to the north of Center City, is Philadelphia’s hottest new neighborhood. Still on the rise, this area has become one of the most popular destinations for young Philly residents when it comes to eating and drinking. The neighborhood was given its name because of its history as the city’s center for its fishing industry, and while it no longer functions as such, it’s still well known for its dynamic and lively culture. Now, the area is known to draw in locals and visitors alike for its wide selection of restaurants, bars, and music venues.
