All about Philadelphia Chinatown luggage storage
While most travelers associate it with the American Revolution and various colonial landmarks (the Liberty Bell is ubiquitous for a reason), Philadelphia actually boasts a number of vibrant neighborhoods worth dedicating an afternoon to. Hipsters will want to flock to Fishtown and Penn’s Landing is a tourist magnet. The most surprising area of Central Philly has to be Chinatown. Philadelphia's hub for Asian cuisine and culture is situated right in the heart of downtown and is easy to reach.
What started as a laundromat back in the late 19th century has become the focal point of Philadelphia’s Asian community. It’s mostly popular for its Lunar New Year celebrations that attract thousands to downtown each year. Visitors are greeted by the brilliant red Chinatown Friendship Gate that towers over the official entrance to the neighborhood at Arch Street and 10th. The restaurants are an obvious attraction, and they showcase more than just Chinese cuisine. You'll find traditional Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, and other kinds of Asian restaurants. Still, the full Chinatown experience should probably include a stop at a dim sum restaurant.
Chinatown is fairly compact so you'll be able to explore the entire neighborhood on foot. It's a crucial part of the experience, so freeing up your hands is recommended. If you're heading to Chinatown on a travel day, you can stop by a Bounce Chinatown luggage storage location to quickly and easily drop the bags off.
