About Himeji Station

One of the top day trip destinations from Osaka is the leafy town of Himeji, which is just a short train ride away from Shin-Osaka Station and Kansai Airport. The city is a notable travel destination for its beautiful Himeji Castle (also known as the “White Heron”) which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. History buffs can also tack on stops at The Engyo-ji Temple on Mount Shosha along with the Koko-en Garden. The most common way to reach the city is through JR Himeji Station, which is right in town. If you want to visit Himeji Castle, you’ll be steps away once you arrive at Himeji Station.

Because Himeji is such a common day trip destination, plenty of visitors utilize luggage storage services like Bounce to keep their bags safe while they poke around the city or head to Himeji Castle. We have multiple luggage storage locations serving Himeji, such as our location at 兵庫県姫路市西駅前町1−4 QWELLビル 2階, so you'll almost have too much choice as to where to store the bags.

How to pay for luggage storage at Himeji Station

  • Book ahead of time: You can use the mobile app or website to search for the nearest location and you can book in minutes.
  • Pay in advance: Once you've selected your preferred location, all you need to do is pay online for the luggage storage. The pricing is always clearly stated and a fixed fee per item, unlike train station lockers. Plus, with coin lockers, you need cash and more specifically, exact change (usually), so you can avoid this hassle easily with Bounce.
  • Confirmed reservation: Your space at the storage spot will be confirmed as soon as you book and pay, so you’ll know for sure that you can drop the bags off.
  • Easy check-in: With the QR confirmation code system, you can check in and drop the bags in a completely cashless exchange.

How to get to or from Himeji Station

Himeji Station is situated right in the city center as it’s the primary transportation hub serving the region and Himeji’s port. The Shinkansen Bullet Train network has a connection to Himeji Station, as do the Sanyo Main Line, and Kishin Line. Travelers will do well to use the Japan Rail Pass to get between cities like Osaka and Himeji as well as reach various metro stops.
