The Cancun International Airport, also simply known as the Cancun Airport is the second busiest airport in Mexico and the fourth busiest in all of Latin America. Yes, the artifacts are really underwater, with over 500 different sculptures placed underwater for your viewing pleasure. Many of the sculptures were created by Jason deCaires Taylor, a renowned British sculptor. The museum was created from a vision that Jaime Gonzalez, the Marine Park Director, once shared with Taylor. You cannot simply stroll through the museum enjoying the sculptures; instead, you can experience it in two different ways. You can dive underwater for an up-close-and-personal view, or if you are not keen on diving, you can enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride and glide over the tops of these sculptures. Do not worry if you are not an experienced diver, the staff will give you a quick lesson, and staff members make the dive with you for safety.
