  • One of the friendliest hotels I’ve stayed at! Super clean, cozy, and in a great location. The staff made me feel comfortable, and Mr. Modou’s kind birthday surprise of a free breakfast absolutely made my day. Perfect spot for travelers visiting Heidelberg!

  • Nice hotel to stay in. Very clean and good price. We were happy to have a kitchen where we can use it anytime. We were allowed to bring food from outside, cook it there and eat it in the eating area. We didn’t have to pay for breakfast and made our own. Across from the hotel on the corner, was a 1950s dinner. They had great American breakfast ( pancakes etc) the open at 11. Transportation was 100 meter away amd Bahnhof only 2 km. The train 22 Takes you to Bischmarkplatz in 5 min ans fr there Bus 32 to Universität . Where everything is. The whole commute was like 10 minutes . I love the place and i would recommend it. The only downside: charge 6,50 to hold your luggage in the basement. Hey you cannot have it all:) greetings

  • The Meininger Hotel is centrally located near the main train station. A tram stop is about 150 meters away. The staff is consistently very friendly, the hotel is modernly furnished, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is good, with a few minor areas for improvement (cheese and cold cut selection). The mattresses are acceptable for me, but not great (very thin and soft). I find the exorbitant luggage storage fees incomprehensible: €5 per piece of luggage plus an additional €4.95 fee. I've truly never experienced this in the 15-20 hotels I stay in each year. Since this isn't a decision made by the hotel itself, I see no reason for a lower rating.
