Boulder Creek is a picturesque stream that originates in the Rocky Mountains and flows through Boulder, Colorado. It provides a natural gathering spot for locals and visitors. The creek is popular for activities like tubing, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing along its trails and parks. It's also the home of one famous event - the Boulder Creek Festival.

This event is hosted annually, every Memorial Day Weekend, along the banks of Boulder Creek. It features live music, a craft beer fest, a marketplace with 200+ vendors, many food options, and an entertainment area for kids. Considered the unofficial start of summer in Boulder, it attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Founded over 30 years ago, the festival celebrates Boulder’s community spirit, local businesses, and artistic culture. Over the decades, it has grown into one of Colorado’s largest and most beloved outdoor festivals.

• Live music: 3 stages will feature over 30 bands playing a mix of rock, indie, folk, bluegrass, funk, and more. Don't miss the Friday Night Kickoff Concert—a big highlight. Expect local talent and national touring artists. Check the lineup to decide what your must-see performances are.
• Creekside Beer Fest: More than 20 Colorado breweries offer craft beers, IPAs, stouts, and lagers. This all-inclusive ticketed event offers the chance to sample different brews. It takes place in a beautiful creekside setting, perfect for relaxing and socializing.
• Food and drinks: Numerous food trucks sell treats, from vegetarian and vegan specialties to festival classics like funnel cakes, BBQ, and tacos. Boulder is known for healthy and organic food, so expect plenty of fresh, locally sourced options. Beer, wine, and cocktails will also be available throughout the festival.
• Shopping (Marketplace): Over 200 artisan vendors sell handcrafted goods, jewelry, art, photography, clothing, and home décor. You'll also find unique fine arts and crafts pieces from local and regional artists.
• Creekside for Kids: A family zone with live entertainment for children, including puppet shows, magicians, and kid-friendly concerts. There will be different children's activities, like face painting, balloon artists, and carnival games. Kids will enjoy pay-to-play rides, such as inflatable bounce houses and slides.

The festival is free to attend! You only have to purchase tickets to visit the Beer Fest, which is open on May 24 and 25. Provide your information to be updated about the tickets.

Items like large bags, outside alcohol, and weapons are prohibited, and visitors are encouraged to report suspicious activity. Here are your options for reaching the venue, which is located between 9th and 14th Streets between Canyon Blvd. and Arapahoe Ave:

• By air: The nearest airport is Denver International Airport (DEN). From there, you can reach Boulder by the RTD AB1 or AB2 bus (to Boulder's Downtown Station), shuttle services, or a rental car.
• By car: From Denver, take US-36 W; from Fort Collins, take I-25 S to CO-119 W; and from Colorado Springs, take I-25 N to US-36 W. Free parking is available in city garages and lots during the festival.
• By bus: The Flatiron Flyer (FF1, FF2, FF3, FF4, FF5, FF6) runs between Denver and Boulder. Once in Boulder, local RTD buses like The Hop circulate through key areas. Check the RTD website for routes and schedules.
• By bike: Boulder has extensive bike lanes and a free bike valet service at Broadway and Canyon Boulevard.
