- MMA – The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is housed in a spacious renovated warehouse on the Kresimirova ul in the Bencic art district. The museum is open six days of the week from midday to seven in the evening. It's closed on a Monday.

The broad pedestrianized boulevard, similar to the Ramblas in Barcelona, is a popular place for strolling and people-watching. They also serve typical Croatian meat dishes like lamb and potato stew and vegetable risotto.
- Bistro Mornar – The Bistro Mornar is a taverna-style restaurant on Ul Riva Boduli near the Modello Palace with a family-friendly atmosphere. Here you can dine under the arched ceiling at a table covered with a red-checked cloth on fish soup, salted cod mousse, shark steak, or local grilled meatballs for ridiculously low prices.
- Cona d'oro – This very rustic and eclectic restaurant on the Kruzna ul is renowned in Rijeka for its homemade burgers and pizzas.
