In the middle of Jerusalem on Jaffa Road in Central Israel, the Jerusalem Central Bus Station has been serving the metro area since 1932, although it has moved a couple of times. With two levels of underground parking, three main bus station levels, and five office floors, the building is packed with people from all over 24 hours a day. The second level serves as the main shopping concourse with gift shops, a bakery, retail stores, and even a video game center.
You will not have to leave to get something to eat because the station has plenty of eateries from restaurants to small kiosks. Some of the popular ones include China Town, Pita Place, Holy Bagel, and Burger Bar. The food court even boasts a kosher McDonalds decked out in blue rather than the typical red color. Be sure to stop by the candy store or Crepe Bar for some delicious dessert.
But you don’t have to just sit around the bus station. Get out and explore the city after dropping off your luggage with one of our Bounce partners nearby. With several museums, religious buildings, ancient ruins, and memorials, you can learn a lot about Jerusalem and Israel while you are visiting.
